Great value and selection has always been our ethos since La Cookshop was established in the heart of Durham City in 1994.

2009 will see the re-launch of our website check back on a regular basis to see all the new and exciting additions that are planned.

We aim to provide the serious and the not so serious cook with the equipment that they need to succeed.

La Cookshop is an independent Cookshop that can specialise and seek out the unusual items that you may be having difficulty finding. If you have a request for a particular item that you cannot find then please send an email to sales@lacookshop.co.uk and we will endeavour to seek out that illusive product.

Whilst selling all of the items that are listed on the website, this is only a fraction of what we do. As well as selling additional cookware ranges that are not listed we also sell Kitchen Textiles from suppliers from all over Western Europe. In addition we are a stockist of the Jason Placemat range from New Zealand and a ranges of Cutlery from Stellar. In the kitchen we look at the trends as they are developing so that we can provide new lines as they are launched.

We stock an amazing range of Teapots from many suppliers, from small to large and patterned and coloured.

Our web pages contain items that we sell in the shop as well as items that we supply direct from the manufacturer. Our recession busting prices on kitchen trolleys are very competitive and we will be surprised if you find them cheaper. Our range of Meyer cookware is as extensive as any you will find on line and very competitively priced. Feel free to compare but we are sure that we offer great value. We also stock one of the largest selections of Bridgewater pottery in the north east of England this can now be found on line with a 10% discount across all ranges that we carry.

We are always adding new products to the range. We have recently added the Victor Castware range, which includes Cast Iron Book Stands, Mug Trees and Kitchen Roll holders.

We carry a large range of AGA branded products all at a discount to the AGA recommended price.
